Our Team
Our Teams Grow With Us
All our team members receive excellent on-going training to ensure that they have the necessary skills and competencies for their roles. A detailed induction process enables staff to shadow more experienced carers. Time to read the children’s files and understand our policies and procedures. This provides new staff with a safe and well-planned induction to the home. Also an introduction to the children and young people living there.
Our staff are reflective practitioners. With support, on-going training and guidance our teams grow with us. They achieve their own aspirations and actively work as committed members of the team to exceed the standards within the Children’s Home Regulations. We promote a platform where staff work together to assess different situations. They celebrate success and build upon continual improved outcomes.
Staff are required to utilise the ‘Finding The Right Words’ approach and also use great sensitivity when writing children and young people’s records. This will help children know that they were genuinely cared about if they look back at their records in the future.
Strong, consistent leadership and management will provide all carers with regular formal and informal supervision. This support will ensure everyone is committed to improving outcomes for the children and young people in their care.
The management maintains a culture of high expectations from all staff. This will empower our teams to be excellent practitioners, confident decision makers as activity leaders. To achieve this, staff are supported, encouraged and trained to deliver very high-quality care. Positively encouraging staff to work towards team leader and management positions. Centauri Care strives to be an employer that reflects local communities and the diversity of the young people in our care.
